Job Summary:

Perform “whole house” energy conservations recommendations per home which require comprehensive knowledge of energy conservation measures in residential homes, repair procedures, heating system evaluation, and funding source guidelines.

Job Description:

  • Comply with all program guidelines.
  • Follow all OSHA safety procedure.
  • Conduct residential home energy assessments which include entering attics, basements, crawl spaces, and assessing HVAC systems.
  • Install energy efficient light bulbs and water-saving devices.
  • Conduct energy conservation testing consisting of blower door testing, combustion safety testing and HVAC testing in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collect, track and submit all data into multiple platforms.
  • Interact with customers and represent GLES in a professional manner.
  • Explain home needs and recommendations to customers.
  • Stay up to date on all energy efficiency, Building Science, sustainability technologies and program policies.

Requirements:

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test
  • BPI Certifications in Building Analyst or a willingness to obtain certification.

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience with residential construction, Energy Conservation, HVAC, BPI (Building Performace Institue), and weatherization.
  • Passion for saving energy and conserving our planet
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work well with a team
  • MUST have computer skills and experience with multiple office applications
